second_banana1. Real life has been an absolute bitch as of late. It seems like everyone around me is having an emotional breakdown of sorts. Spring break was not relaxing at all. My family had the Willamette Valley Plague, and I was on an emotional roller-coaster for 95% of it. Ugh. Bits of it were very very good. Time spent with elvensorceress was good as we don't get to see each other much anymore.
2. I need loud angry music. I don't own very much loud angry music.
3. I finally saw King Arthur today. It... made me giggle. More than it should have. There was zero chemistry between Arthur and Guinevere. I mean nothing. And to make matters worse, there was only a small amount of chemistry between Arthur and Lancelot. Honestly, people! But I loved Gawain, Galahad, and Bors. They made me happy. I love the Arthur myths enough that this movie was a little twitchy to watch, but not as much as I expected.
5. Does anyone remember me saying something along the lines of "Orlando Bloom will be a very attractive man once he has a few more years on him?" Because results are in... Orlando Bloom finally, at 27, looks like a grown-up. I've been able to see some of the new movie shots and magazine layouts. He was beautiful, handsome, and all sorts of cute/goofy before. I think he has finally grown into his looks for me. I believe he will prove to be much like Johnny Depp in that he will get more attractive as time goes on. But feel free to ignore me. I have a thing for men in their 40s.
6. I can't write smut. My muses are being mean and keep reminding me that I have no penis or prostate as a frame of reference. Muses aren't supposed to taunt. I'm pretty sure of that. Do any of the other writers on my flist have this problem? Stupid muses.
I have goodish news, but I have RL people to tell first. It shall be out shortly. I promise.
ETA: My Goodish news is that I have been accepted to a Janterm abroad in Greece. It will be studying Ancient theater and politics. HOLY CRAP! This is like my baby. If I can manage to get the funds to go OMG how the fuck am I supposed to do that???? I will be reading Helen, Andromache, The Trojan Women etc *right* where they were first performed. *faints*

She still wants to see King A as Keira is gorgeous.
Orlando Bloom is also gorgeous. 'Specially with the horde of older men he has that love him all shmushing him.

Keira is a strumpet in this movie. I like that. But there was no one worth her time. I swear at her wedding *both* she and Arthur were thinking "Damn. Lancelot is a much better kisser." It was sad.
I've said it once, I'll say it again. "Orlando Bloom is my hero because he makes large burly heterosexual men drape themselves all over him and snuggle."
I would... but it's not so much about love. Not romantic love anyway. It's more about inseams and clothes ripping sex. Here's a brief snippet from the tiny part I have yet to send you.
“Eric!” Orlando mewled. “I want to taste you. All of you.”
Eric moaned and found he couldn’t fault Orlando’s logic. On all but one point.
“Then get to all of me,” he growled.

Date: 2005-04-03 11:24 pm (UTC)About Greece - I was there in May of 2003. My favorite place was Crete, so hopefully you'll get there. I also visited Santorini, but I don't think they have much in the way of old theatres there.
Athens is very big, very urban, and the traffic is terrifying (both as a pedestrian and in a taxi), but the Parthenon is awe-inspiring, and I really hope you get to see it. The thing that made me sad about Greece was they are very cavalier in their treatment of animals. I'm a vegetarian because I love animals, and it made me sad to see so many abused, abandoned dogs and cats wandering around.
Sorry for the mini rant - Greece really is lovely, and the sunsets are the most beautiful I've seen anywhere.
