Normally not having a car is no big deal. I don't need to go many places and when I really do, there are friends with vehicles to take me places for minor bribes. But sometimes you need to go places without being asked questions. Grrr.

Self discovery is both a good and bad thing. On the one hand, it's good to know. On the other it is craptacular that I can't do a damn bit to explore some things right now.

Many of my money problems may be getting sorted out very soon. I will be on a very tight budget for who knows how long, but it's looking like things are getting better.

Does anyone on my flist have experience with Fimo or Sculpty clay? I want to make a two colored necklace (back ground one color and then a raised outline) and I have no idea which would be better, if either. Also, does anyone know how well they stick together? I know someone was having trouble getting separate pieces to stick, but I'm really not sure.

And now that I've displayed my total ignorance and sleep deprivation, I'm off for bed.

*snuggle you all*

I used sculpty years and years ago, but it was for something totally different (doll house miniatures), so I don't know how appropriate it would be for you. Sorry to be anti-helpful, love. *snuggles her a bunch* Hope you got a good sleep. :)

I've never used fimo, and I've only used Sculpy once, but as long as you put the pieces together before baking, I see no reason for them not to stick.

For necklace stuff, fimo should be the way to go - though I've never used it. I've used sculpty, and I never would have even considered it for bead making, though it doesn't sound like that's what you're looking to do anyway, so I'm really not sure. Sound like a stiff necklace would be prone to break no mater what you used (except metal).
