Big Bothers
Sep. 11th, 2006 05:24 amDo any of you have older siblings who have fucked up monumentally? In a way that made you ache?
Most of my friends are oldest children or have older sibling who do that whole "perfect firstborn" thing with some success. Does anyone have advice on how to deal with older siblings who you love fucking about with their lives? Or siblings with mental illnesses?
I'd love to talk to someone who has some kind of perspective. Even if it's "yeah, that does suck."
Work is... strange. The nurse that no one could stand (resident, staff, everybody) put in her two week notice so things are looking up on the interpersonal level there. It was more than a little stressful when she was on shift. I don't know what that's going to mean for my schedule though as she was working one of the positions I can work but haven't been because I've been on nights.
Working nights is both awesome and icky. I love being up and alone in the dark. I don't love that when I feel like having company or talking with anyone they are asleep like normal human beings.
I had an epiphany while listening to the Spamalot soundtrack. I'm fairly certain this means I am mentally unstable in some way.
I think I'm going to stay awake until the parents are at work so I can steal their ginormous bathtub. It is the best perk of living at home.
McMinnville people: Dude, I'm getting updates on what is going on up there via Boston. BOSTON! Are any of you free this Thursday? I have the night off and would love to see some or all of you.

P.S. I am feeling very Alice in Wonderland. "I give myself very good advice, but I very seldom follow it." Hence the icon.
